This smart display cabinet is developed for museums and science centres, combining physical exhibits with a multimedia screen so visitors can view the object and access text, images and video content at the same time. The result is an exhibition that communicates far more than a static case, while keeping the artefact the focus of attention.
The cabinet pairs a sealed display volume with an integrated screen module, and the screen position and angle can be set for standing or seated viewing. Low reflection glass is used so that lighting does not wash out the view of the object, and the internal microclimate space can accommodate humidity control equipment if required. Service access is provided from the rear to keep the visitor side uninterrupted.
The body uses sheet metal and wood composite construction with paint or veneer finishing, and glass is high clarity low iron where it is important that exhibited colours remain accurate. The primary frame is fabricated from high grade cold rolled steel plate through laser cutting, CNC bending, welding and polishing, then finished with degreasing, rust removal, phosphating and electrostatic powder coating or fluorocarbon baking paint, giving a coating with strong adhesion, good scratch resistance and long term colour stability. Display surfaces use 5mm tempered safety glass with high light transmittance and impact resistance. High quality LED chips provide internal lighting with low light decay, long service life and low energy consumption, and all edges are chamfered and rounded for safe daily use.
