Because a display cabinet is the primary medium for showcasing products,it functions as a carrier much like furniture in a home: it must not only hold as many clothes, ornaments, and artworks as possible with practical utility, but also convey warmth and personality, expressing a family's cultural taste and style, as well as its economic standing—and the same holds true for designing display cabinets. Whether in a department store, a shopping center, or a specialty store, the future competitive trend is to position toward a target market and build a warm, engaging space for shopping, entertainment, and leisure for one's target customers. Therefore, designing display cabinets should be approached like designing furniture—grasping their functional purpose and infusing design elements, ideas, concepts, and creativity into them.
